Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

In addition to offering age-appropriate Bible teaching at the same time we teach the women, we are also interested in providing clothing, school supplies, and other assistance to the children in need. We want to show them the love their Heavenly Father has for them by providing for their basic needs.

We also understand that reaching the mothers and discipling them in their walk with the Lord will in turn effect the children and bring them into a relationship with the Lord as well.

Since 2006, we have been partnering with Fashioned Forward Ministries for a project called, “Love Covers.” The goal is to spread the love of Jesus and clothe the children. A three day Vacation Bible School is held, and in the end, each child is given a “Love Pack.” The Love Packs include: a backpack, school uniform, three pair of underwear, a “Love Covers Africa” long sleeved red shirt, mosquito net, blanket, toothbrush, soap, 12 pens, 12 pencils, and 24 school work books.

The beauty of this project is it touches two groups of people in need. First, the children are clothed and covered, but we also provide jobs for women within our discipleship project. These women join our four month tailoring school course (at no charge). They sew the uniforms included in the Love Packs, praying over each one.
